The business is looking to welcome an enthusiastic and committed individual to their friendly team, on a permanent, full-time basis.
Shift Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
- To take direction from the Plant Manager as to the work needed and timelines required.
- Lead and oversee all shift activities including Plant and Control Room operations, to ensure that all activities are undertaken to the highest performance, quality, health and safety, and environmental standards.
- Organise and undertake, in consultation with the Plant Manager, all required work activities, ensuring that tasks are prioritised and completed in a timely way to ensure that the plants schedules are fully met.
- Have a full understanding of the site operations, plant control through the DCS and materials required to maintain production.
- Ensure all waste materials delivered, produced, stored and removed from site are managed in line with the required legislation and site requirements.
- Organise the preparation of and record quantities of all materials needed (inc. chemicals, gases, feedstocks, etc.), reporting any deficiencies in a timely manner to permit early resolution.
Shift Supervisor Key Requirements
- Experienced in process plant environments.
- Ability to work safely, champion plant safety (e.g. Hazops, risk assessments, use of safety equipment, etc), and ensure the safety of others.
- Ability to supervise successful and safe plant operations across all conditions, including reporting of trials.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently.
- Work flexibly in terms of working patterns, location, and reporting lines, to ensure that the plant is adequately manned at all times, including being on call.
- Willingness to undertake training to ensure safe operation of equipment (e.g. forklift, compressed gases, CoSHH, pressure systems, COMPEX and/or obtain statutory certificates.).
- Significant experience in a related industry.
- IT skills (especially MS Office, and ideally SCADA and/or DCS systems).
- Excellent Salary Package, up to £46,000 per annum (including shift)
