About the role:


We seek a Tutor in Fashion Design to contribute to high quality teaching and student experience across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

You will have knowledge and experience of contemporary fashion and/or broader design practices working with directional design practitioners, creating original designs using a holistic design-based skillset.

You will also have expertise in your field, with your industry experience informing your teaching practice.

The successful applicant will have:

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to communicate complex information with clarity to a range of diverse audiences, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience of teaching and/ in the relevant field of practice

Desirable:

  • A PGCE, Certificate of Education, PGCLTHE or membership of the Higher Education Academy (or commitment to obtain within three years of appointment).
  • Membership of relevant Professional bodies, demonstrating professional standing.
  • Successfully publish results of research to the REF, in peer reviewed journals or monographs, or publish/exhibit professional practice
