The Client

Our Client is a complete construction partner, operating across the UK within varying sectors such as healthcare, education, retail etc.

They deliver end to end project lifecycle expertise, anticipating risks while identifying new opportunities in order to help clients maximise value.

Due to demand of newly acquired contracts, they are looking to recruit an experienced Document Controller covering a few sites in the Midlands.


The Role
As the document controller, you will be responsible for organising the Clients documents.

This role involves coordinating with the different departments within the Company and ensuring that their documents are kept in the right location and are accessible to all internal services.


Responsibilities:

Ensure all departments are following the same procedures in relation to their official documents and paperwork.
Support the Clients procedures in maintaining transparent, up-to-date and easily traceable documents.
Copying, scanning, storing documents and checking for accuracy and editing files, i.e., contracts
Reviewing and updating technical documents (e.g., manuals and workflows)
Archiving files
Distribute project-related copies to internal teams
File documents in physical and digital records
Create templates for future use
Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed

You will also be required to carry out general Administration duties such as data input, answering the phone, filing, photocopying, scanning paperwork, typing documents as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Excellent organisational skills and must be familiar with effective filing
Must have experience of working as a Document Controller within the Construction sector
You must have the ability to monitor and evaluate systems and to look for improvements.
Must have excellent communication skills and the confidence and competency to coordinate and liaise with different internal departments.
Must be able to work within the strictest confidence
