Overview:
This 37.5 hours, five-days-per-week role is currently based in Crawley, and expected to transfer to Hove in two years.

There is some flexibility for home working, although we expect this to be mínimal initially as the development needed will be best found in the office.


Responsibilities:


  • Administration of weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Calculating, processing, recording and reporting of holiday pay and sick pay
  • Payrollrelated support to the finance function
  • Professionally and confidentially handling pay queries from colleagues, senior managers, unions and external bodies
  • Processing and administration of expense claims
  • Communicating onward any required deductions from employee wages such as pensions, Trade Union subscriptions or Attachment of Earnings Orders to the Payroll department at Go North East
  • Managing the colleague train pass process
  • Ensuring changes to pensions are managed and checked
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory rules and company policy

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

  • 12 months of office, payroll or finance experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and a good level of competence in Excel
  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at different levels
  • Willingness to work the hours necessary to achieve completion of the above tasks within the required timescale
  • The ability to selfmotivate and effectively prioritise
