**Business and Administration Apprenticeship - Clerical Officer

NHS Lanarkshire is thrilled to announce several exciting opportunities for Modern Apprenticeships in Business and Administration across Lanarkshire.

We have opportunities across NHS Lanarkshire, to include Coatbridge, Wishaw, Hamilton, Motherwell, Airdrie, Cumbernauld and Uddingston.

You could be based at one of our Health Centre's or work within Health Visiting, CAMHS, Podiatry, Dietetics, Sexual Health or Rehab services.

Key Details:

Duration: Fixed term post for 12 months starting
from August 12th, 2024. Part-time hours available with pro-rata salary.

Eligibility:Applicants aged
16 to 24 years old on August 1, 2024, (or up to 29 years for applicants who have a disability or those with care experience) are eligible. Must demonstrate proficiency at SCQF Level 5/National 5 level.


What We Offer:

  • Qualification: Work towards achieving a Level 5 SCQF qualification in Business and Administration, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

What We're Looking For:


  • Motivated Individuals: Highly motivated and committed individuals eager to join our Modern Apprenticeship program.
  • Skills: Strong communication, customer service, and IT skills, along with the ability to understand various procedures and processes.
  • Interest: A particular interest in administrative roles, coupled with a positive attitude towards work and professional development.

Duties as a Clerical Officer may include:

  • Utilising patient management systems such as Trakcare.
  • Welcoming patients and visitors at reception.

No Prior Experience Necessary:
This Apprenticeship welcomes applicants with limited work experience, including school leavers.

Contract type:
