Hours:
Flexible, 3-10 hours per week.

Job Purpose
To plan, deliver and manage a coordinated programme of high-quality and age-appropriate sporting activities.


Main Duties & Responsibilities


We are looking for a
Qualified Sports Coach to prepare and implement well-structured and progressive programmes ensuring a high-quality, enjoyable experience centred on the needs of the participants.

To deliver after-school clubs and SEND sporting activities, encourage participation and attendance. The post holder will be engaged in delivering sports sessions at various sites across Leicestershire, have an enhanced DBS Certificate, Full Drivers licence and own transport


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver highquality sports activities (afterschool clubs and SEND sports delivery)
  • To represent and be the "face" of EMPWR Sports, successfully engaging with and supporting participants.
  • To improve and develop participant health, fitness, and mental wellbeing through our programmes.
  • To ensure that participants are provided a high level of support and care to maximise engagement and achievement.
  • To be responsible for the supervision of participants in their care.
  • To ensure the participants are provided with an enjoyable and sportsfocused experience.

3. Health and Safety

  • To ensure that all activities are delivered within a safe, controlled environment.
  • To supervise participants between the contracted hours and always ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Oversee all programmes in line with best practice guidelines in health/safety, safeguarding and child protection.
  • To report any suspicions or reports of abuse against staff or participants.

4. Additional Key Duties

  • To engage with children, parents and clients where applicable.
  • Prepare session templates & reports to the Sports in Education Lead.
  • To administer First Aid where required and to accurately record and report any injuries or accidents.
  • Any other duties considered appropriate to the role.

5. Post Holder Requirements

  • Sports Coach Qualification (essential)
  • Sports Coaching Experience (essential)
  • Experience in SEND (_desirable_)
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Full Drivers licence and own transport
