With over 115,000 members in 140 countries, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) has been at the heart of the mechanical engineering profession since 1847.
We are now seeking a Conference Producer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role
In this engaging role as a Conference Producer, you will be key to the development and delivery of a programme of technical events focusing on the engineering world.

You will work with dedicated volunteer members, colleagues, and expert industry leaders to ensure compelling agendas are delivered every time.
What's more, your role will involve:
- Undertaking in-depth market research
- Ensuring the events programme addresses relevant, contemporary engineering challenges
- Collaborating with senior industry and academic stakeholders to realise their vision
- Booking a roster of industryleading speakers
- Creating engaging marketing copy to drive interest and build awareness
As a Conference Producer, you will need:
- Strong research skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth research over the telephone or through face-to-face and virtual meetings
- To possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver through various communication channels
- Good timemanagement skills and an ability to manage priorities
- Proficiency in IT, including in Microsoft Office suite

- Salary of c£30,000 per annum depending on experience
