Right now, we're looking for an Environmental Compliance Advisor to join our team.

Here you'll provide expert environmental and sustainability advice and guidance, through the use of effective risk control systems, procedures and standards.


This broad role will cover legislative, policy and good practice compliance in addition to technical management and support of environmental sustainability compliance requirements.

The post holder has specific responsibility for:


  • Providing technical expert environmental advice to support UK Solutions in meeting their regulatory environmental requirements and liaise with the external regulators/auditors/compliance scheme operators as required
  • Maintain tools and systems needed to determine and report on environmental compliance activities
  • Contribute to the delivery of CO2 emissions verification and surrender of corresponding allowances for all activities under the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS).
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of relevant environmental legislation both current and planned
  • Supporting specific environmental compliance processes as directed
  • Representing E.ON in crossindustry working groups as required
  • Acting with the delegated authority of the Senior Environmental Advisor when nominated
  • Support the business in the implementation of an integrated management system approach to deliver continuous environmental improvement

What we need from you
Essential

  • A relevant degree, or similar qualification, in an appropriate discipline.
  • A minimum 3 years experience in an environmental role, preferably in the combustion or industrial sector, with hands on experience of ISO1400
  • Planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising, and a commitment to personal development.
  • A proven ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions
  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures which affect the management of the business activities relevant to the role
  • Project management and planning skills, with ability to meet committed deadlines
  • Highly skilled, analysis and report creation and writing skills
  • Full EU/UK Driver's license required
