Calibration Team Leader


Location:
Rochester


Salary:
£45,000 - £50,000 depending on skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Ensuring Calibration tasks on the teams portfolio are completed satisfactorily and are traceable to National Standards
  • Support the maintenance of test equipment, located on the shop floor
  • Manage the performance of the team using appropriate tools & techniques
  • Provide monthly reports and matrices on performance
  • Provide & authorise monthly estimates for areas of responsibility
  • Identifying and addressing the training and development requirements of the team
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the Calibration team
  • Coordinate with external calibration suppliers the calibration of equipment
  • Interfacing with all other functions at all levels of the organisation
  • Ensure UKAS accreditation maintained

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:

  • Experienced in a Calibration environment
  • Experience with UKAS 17025 or equivalent regulatory requirements
  • Operationally and strategically minded and ability to build and maintain excellent business relationships across all levels within the business

Desirable:

  • Previous Leadership experience
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Understanding of measurement uncertainty
  • HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Discipline

The Calibration team:


As a Calibration Team Leader you will be reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Manager, the Calibration Team Leader will lead a team of Calibration Engineers and Technicians and be responsible for ensuring Calibration activities and maintenance of test equipment are completed to support the business.
