£45,000 - £50,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
- Ensuring Calibration tasks on the teams portfolio are completed satisfactorily and are traceable to National Standards
- Support the maintenance of test equipment, located on the shop floor
- Manage the performance of the team using appropriate tools & techniques
- Provide monthly reports and matrices on performance
- Provide & authorise monthly estimates for areas of responsibility
- Identifying and addressing the training and development requirements of the team
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the Calibration team
- Coordinate with external calibration suppliers the calibration of equipment
- Interfacing with all other functions at all levels of the organisation
- Ensure UKAS accreditation maintained
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experienced in a Calibration environment
- Experience with UKAS 17025 or equivalent regulatory requirements
- Operationally and strategically minded and ability to build and maintain excellent business relationships across all levels within the business
Desirable:
- Previous Leadership experience
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Experience in Continuous Improvement techniques
- Understanding of measurement uncertainty
- HNC / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Discipline

The Calibration team:
As a Calibration Team Leader you will be reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Manager, the Calibration Team Leader will lead a team of Calibration Engineers and Technicians and be responsible for ensuring Calibration activities and maintenance of test equipment are completed to support the business.
