Description

To provide direct line management for the postgraduate team.

Responsible for the development, review and management of relevant medical education policies, aligned with national, local requirements, and the learning and development agreement.

To work closely with the Medical Education Manager, Head of Medical Education and Directors of Medical Education in relation to Doctors in Training, including Doctors in Difficulty.

To develop processes and procedures aimed at ensuring that education and learning is paramount and not compromised by service delivery, including horizon scanning for new developments; innovative practice and engagement with Doctors in Training.

To ensure smooth delivery across the medical education pathway, including induction and coordination of training programmes. Working closely with Foundation Programme Directors and Senior Trainee Education lead roles.
