Job Overview:
We are seeking a Experienced Transport Planner to join our team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods and materials. You will work closely with drivers, customers and other team members to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule transportation routes for deliveries
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure ontime pickups and deliveries
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely arrival
- Optimize routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates and changes
- Collaborate with dispatchers to resolve any issues or delays
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar role
- Knowledge of flatbed and commercial driving operations
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities and requirements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in using transportation management systems or software
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Salary Negotiable depending on Experience
Note:
This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated according to applicable labor laws.
Pay:
From £25,000.00 per year
