Event Furniture Hire are looking for seasonal marquee riggers to install small to medium sized marquees between May

October. This position is ideal for uni students or anyone looking for seasonal work. Permanent positions may be made available at the end of the season.

A marquee rigger is responsible for the safe and efficient installation, rigging and dismantling of event structures such as marquees, tents and temporary structures.

They work as part of a team to ensure that the structures are properly installed and secured to prevent damage or injury to people, property or equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Transporting and unloading marquee structures and equipment at event sites
Rigging and installing marquee structures, ensuring they are safely and securely erected
Installing flooring, lighting, heating and other equipment as required
Ensuring that all safety procedures and regulations are adhered to during installation and dismantling
Coordinating with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Liaising with clients and event managers to ensure that their requirements are met and any issues are resolved in a timely manner
Inspecting and maintaining all equipment and structures to ensure they are in good condition and ready for use
Participating in training sessions to stay up to date with safety regulations, equipment use and industry best practices

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in rigging, installation and dismantling of marquee structures is preferred
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality
Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with team members and clients
Knowledge of industry safety regulations and best practices
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different event locations
