RMS are currently recruiting for
Edge Bander Setter/Operator to join our client who are a market leader in the design and manufacture of engineered products in Shildon.


  • At least
    1 years' experience using an Edge Bander Machine.
  • A thorough and complete understanding of the Edge Bander process and the procedures, which control these activities, to ensure reproducibility of products with effective problem solving and awareness attributes.
  • Factory based wood machining background is preferred, but not essential.
  • Operator level skills of worktops or similar products from blank to finished product.
  • Lock out procedures, tooling changes and set up of tooling/equipment to required standard, safely and with minimum interruption.
  • Understanding and be able to follow work instructions (SOP's) as well as risk and COSHH assessments.
This is a temporary on-going position which will go permanent for the right person.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday on a 2-Shift Rotation which are:

  • 6AM until 2PM
  • 2PM until 10PM
This may change to a 1 Shift depending on the business needs.

The salary for the role is £11.07 per hour on early shifts and you will receive a shift uplift on the late shift of 10%.
