We are recruiting a

Field Service Highways Electrician in the Bristol / Avonmouth / Swanwick area to join our
-
Field Service apprenticeship scheme who wants to make a difference and develop their skills in IT, Electrical Engineering and Digital Technology and this role will be focused on learning how Traffic Systems are installed and connected, along with ensuring safe working and safe installation and testing of electrical installations.

The challengeHere is how the programme works**:

Year 2: College is likely to be on a 1 day a week basis at this point. You'll spend the rest of your time as part of a field service centre team. This will involve installing, maintaining and fault finding on highway electrical equipment. You will also begin your workplacebased competence qualification.
Year 3: In year three you will continue to develop your technical, occupational, and professional competence and build your business network.
Year 4: In year 4 you will complete the end point assessment requirements and transition into a permanent role within the business.
Whilst completing the training programme, you will have the opportunity to be crosstrained in other areas, such as fault administration, workshop, stores and other Yunex equipment. This will lead to you being a more knowledgeable engineer with a deeper understanding of how your work interacts with others and fits into the bigger Yunex picture.
Alongside onthejob training, you will also work towards an NVQ which consists of two levels, which will enable you to be utilised across the whole spectrum of skill sets and disciplines. To assist with your learning, you will also be allocated a mentor. It should also be noted that this Apprenticeship will involve working outside and working at height
You should have good communication skills, both written and verbal
You are confident when working heights
As the apprenticeship involves completing academic qualifications and occupational skills developments, you should have good organisational skills and be able to manage your time appropriately.
You must be willing to selflearn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change

You should be IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office packages.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

You will have achieved or be on track to achieve at least 3 GCSE's grade 4 or above including math and English language.
