Metrology Analyst / Laboratory Engineer


As an industry leading global provider of services within pharmaceutical testing, development and manufacturing for both clinical and commercial use, we are looking to add a critical hire to our Laboratory Support team within an equipment installation, validationand/or maintenance capacity.

The opportunity for progression and development is very realistic especially given the plans for site expansion.

The position:


This position will be a new addition to the growing Laboratory Support team that is fundamental in providing support to the Analytical teams.


The key focus will be on ensuring that analytical instrumentation is installed, calibrated and maintained to effective levels within a GMP environment.

Going beyond performing simple daily calibrations, this position is responsible for wider annual maintenance(including dealing with 3rd parties) and validation processes.

This will include preparing technical documentation as well as hands on work with various equipment.


Experience:


  • Experience in installation, validation or maintenance of analytical equipment (e.g. HPLC, GC and other instruments used within a chemistry focused lab) ideally 1 to 2 years (even if coming from an analytical background)
  • Experience of GMP and related documentation/processes is strongly preferred but transferable experience will be considered
  • Desire to be involved with installation and validation work (any experience beneficial)
  • The capability to write and review SOPs would be a significant advantage
  • Can do approach, with an easy going nature that is capable and happy to communicate at all levels
