Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging and persuasive copy for our tourism clients, including but not limited to: press releases, op-eds, thought-leadership content, news alerts, interview alerts, pitches, blog posts.
- Conduct thorough research on tourism-related topics to ensure accuracy, relevance, and credibility of content.
- Collaborate with the relevant members of the tourism team to understand project requirements and goals, and translate them into effective written communication.
- Ensure consistency of brand voice, tone, and messaging across all channels and materials.
- Edit and proofread written content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in copywriting
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for PR campaigns and initiatives.
- Continuously strive to improve and optimize copywriting techniques to achieve maximum impact and results.
- Meet project deadlines while managing multiple assignments simultaneously and maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Copywriter or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of writing styles and formats across the tourism sector.
- Excellent command of the English language, including exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and the ability to align copy with brand strategies and target audience preferences.
- Proficiency in conducting research and synthesizing information from reliable sources.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and practices to optimize copy for search engines is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using content management systems, project management tools, and other relevant software.
- Ability to adapt writing style and tone to match different brand voices and target audiences.
