Scunthorpe based with an annual salary of £25,000 to £32,000 per annum plus a benefits package within a rapidly expanding company

Are you?

An experienced Purchaser
Experienced working in a manufacturing environment
Familiar with bogies, buffers, couplers or rolling stock
Qualified to level 5 CIPS

Do you?

Have knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
Have strong communication skills
Have strong analytical, organisational and negotiation skills

The Role

The Purchaser will:

Develop and create relationships with key suppliers
Utilise and manage the RFQ process for cost efficiencies
Implement, maintain and review supplier contracts and standards
Set up a supplier risk database
Drive supply chain environmental, social and governance decisions
Regularly monitor supplier, product and service performance and seeking improvements where necessary
Maintain an effective company terms and conditions of purchase and ensuring compliance with company health and safety and environmental procedures
Source new products, services and suppliers with a view to obtaining improvements in reliability, efficiency and waste reduction
Maintain and improve costeffective purchasing and procurement systems and procedures
Ensure effective stock management
