The role:
Lead Analyst role in the Transactions team within Global FP&A Functions.
The role will cover both IT and Support Functions FP&A activity and will be primarily support the understanding of the impact of (through comprehensive analysis) and supporting the enablementof the associated change in process/reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight and preparation of reports and analysis linked to the Group transactions covering Opex and Capex.
- Identification and management of financial risks and opportunities associated with Group Transactions impacts of Support Functions and IT.
- Identifying and supporting embedding of relevant FP&A process change associated with Group Transactions
- Presenting output in a suitable format which is relevant, accurate and up to date
- Analysis of data and providing insight on performance gaps providing recommendations on corrective actions
- Communicate effectively, provide explanations and updates and support to the Support Functions and IT FP&A Teams
- Understand the business and its key drivers to analyse productivity and contract spend
- Be part of the Finance team and assist with regular and adhoc projects
- Extracting systems data, reconciling and ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Requirements:
- Preferable experience of working within an existing FP&A environment
- Qualified accountant or relevant business experience
- Flexible, rational, organised and innovative with the ability to prioritise, multitask and reschedule tasks as appropriate and to work to deadlines
- Excellence in building relationships, gaining credibility in a dynamic environment
- Effective stakeholder management skills at all levels comfortable working under own initiative.
- A "can do" attitude and a willingness to learn and exist outside of your comfort zone with an approach that cultivates collaboration
- Interest, knowledge and experience of working with IT and Business Support Functions.
- Practical experience of using S4 and PowerBI.
- Appreciation of Project Delivery Methodologies (Agile) is comfortable with various stages of the project
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex information and communicating it in appropriate format in order to drive improvement that brings benefit to the business.
- Ability to organise own work including prioritising and managing a high volume workloads, conflicting demands and deadlines.
