POSITION OVERVIEW
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Sourcing and liaising with third party vendors globally to provide IT & AV equipment.
- Accurately
preparing quotations for customers based on the specification, cost and currency. - Manage timescales of delivery/ delays and reporting such to management.
- Account management responsibility providing a high level of customer service to our clients, some of which are leading global IT organizations.
- Proactively plan, organize and overcome any issues with supply.
- Undertake training as required or as identified by management for the proper execution or development within your role/company.
- Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the company and within the competency of the postholder
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 12 years relevant commercial experience with good business acumen
- Good technical IT knowledge or demonstrable experience in AV
- Customer service and Account /Project management experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, in particular
Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and negotiating skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload, meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure.
- Be a motivated, selfstarter and can demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in their work.
- Responsible and reliable, capable of working individually as well as part of a team
- Must have critical thinking and problem solving ability, with good numerical and analytical skills.
- Be flexible and adaptable to change to meet the needs of the customer working across different time zones.
- Degree in Business and IT management or related business discipline is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience working in either a
procurement/purchasing/ IT or Logistics role: - Knowledge of purchase order processing and supply chain coordination.
- Background in Finance would be advantageous.
