About the Role:

We are looking for a Graduate Intern to join our Global Product and Chemical Stewardship Team to undertake Stewardship Data Management.

Working within our global Electronic Cables and Components (EC&C) business, starting September 2023 for a period of 9 months.

We are excited to offer this opportunity to be involved in the support and management of a wide range of data required by Gore to demonstrate compliance to chemical and material regulations (e.g., REACH, Conflict Minerals etc.).

You will have the opportunity to learn from a team who provide expertise on chemicals, regulations, material composition and material chain of custody, to enable businesses to develop, make and sell products globally.

The role will be based in either our Dundee or Livingston facility.


Responsibilities:


  • Gain experience and knowledge in Global compliance regulations to support the business
  • Help to harmonise, format, and correct important data to support improvement of process and automatization
  • Engage and integrate with a global team to understand the current processes and data available, and assist in targeting areas for improvement
  • Support the transfer of data to allow for Global access for the team
  • Involvement in our Supplier survey process which is critical to Gore to gather and evaluate compliance data

Qualifications:


  • Graduate of Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or similar field of study
  • Knowledge of chemical symbols/chemistry would be an advantage
  • Strong interest in gathering and managing data as well as looking for efficiencies
  • High attention to detail when dealing with large quantities of data
  • Willing to research, correlate and deliver information in a meaningful way
  • Great MS Office skills, especially with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Enjoy working independently but also have a strong focus on teamwork and inclusion, also in a virtual environment
  • Able to simplify complex data and see relationships, as well as manipulate large data sets
  • Important to be selfdriven, and willing to work in a variety of tasks


  • Fluent in English

  • Basic German would be an advantage
