Wellcome is a global charitable foundation.With an £37.8 billion investment portfolio, at Wellcome we improve health for everyone by funding science, shaping policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.
Under our new strategy launched in October 2020, we plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate.
We are now seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking and inclusive leader to become our next Chief Strategy Officer and to join our Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
The Chief Strategy Officer will oversee the continued implementation of our strategy across the organisation and will manage the timely closure of activities that no longer align.
Alongside managing the Policy, Government Relations and Partnerships teams, you will be accountable for developing a Strategy and Programme Office for Wellcome that guides the delivery of the strategy, including internal major, multi-functional projects.
At heart, this role will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the organisational strategy and its activities while acting as an advocate for Wellcome with its key stakeholders and partners across the globe.
To be successful in this role you will be a strategic thinker, engaged with the global policy environment that Wellcome operates within and used to operating within complex organisations.
As a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be able to represent Wellcome externally and develop links with stakeholders and partners.

Salary:
£177,830 per annum

_We are working 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) from our Euston Road offices with the remaining 3 days from home.
