A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a large logistics company based in Felixstowe for a Finance Assistant. This is a full time, permanent opportunity based in the office. You will also be offered study support as part of this role.

As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for the site transactions that feed into the management accounts.

You will deliver financial and statistical data for the Leadership team and ensure stakeholders and departments can improve on financial performance.


Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Finance Manager with financial and management reporting.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial management information. Including but not limited to, weekly and monthly P&L reporting.
  • Adhoc sales ledger Invoicing and raising of purchase orders.
  • Maintenance of cost provisions and accrual information.
  • Approval of weekly subcontractor payments.
  • Reconciliation of cost and revenue accounts.
  • Provide analysis and insight into specific business unit performance.
  • Ensure site compliance, corporate standards and financial controls are adhered to.

To be successful, you will:

  • Have advanced Excel skills
  • Able to work well within a dynamic environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a Warehousing or Transport finance role is advantageous
