Description

AEG Presents are looking for an Assistant to Head of Comedy & Junior Promoter who'll be responsible supporting the Head of Comedy with all aspects of AEG's comedy, podcast and spoken word tour set up and promotion.


You'll deal with venues around the UK from small clubs to arenas to get date availability and up to date hire documents, including possible new theatres and helping to get them set up on our systems; build show budgets and routing tours and coordinate on-sale set and monitor all aspects until show completion.


You'll liaise between artist teams and AEG teams to get marketing assets sorted, ticket links sent to artists and general assistance making sure all parties are ready for on-sale; and you'll work closely with artists and their representatives throughout the lifecycle of a tour, maintaining good relationships with them.


This role includes attending shows wherever possible and meeting artists, agents and venue staff; and also scouting for new talent that the comedy department could potentially work with.


Finally, you'll lead AEG's Edinburgh Fringe productions - being in Edinburgh for the entirety of August and being the first port of call for clients, managing the street team and general show management; providing and promoting the highest level of customer service.

We're looking for someone with relevant experience promoting live comedy or entertainment who understands the Live entertainment industry.


With experience of preparing budgets and costings, you'll have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied and busy workload.


You'll have a strong track record in building good working relationships across diverse business areas and functions and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently with a range of internal stakeholders across diverse business areas.

Where:

You'll be based at our head office in Blackfriars, a short walk from Blackfriars rail station and Southwark Tube station on the Jubilee line.

We offer flexible start and end times and welcome flexible working conversations. You'll need to be available to work in Edinburgh for the month of August.
