We are looking for a CNC Machine Setter/Operator to join our Hycrome division within Score Group based at our facility in Burnley, Lancashire.

About the role

The CNC Machinist will join our Manufacturing Team within Hycrome and will be responsible for setting and operating various CNC machine tools predominantly for turning work.

You will be the first point of contact for all CNC Machine services and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and quality standards.


This role is to cover the late shift with a working pattern of Monday to Thursday 2pm till 10pm and Friday 11.45am till 4.15pm.

We could also consider a night shift Monday - Thursday covering 35 hours if that is more suited to your schedule.

Primary responsibilities

  • Inspection of own work in accordance with relevant engineering drawings and documentation
  • Actively and diligently manage all machine control settings and making necessary adjustments
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Inspection of own work using a host of conventional measuring techniques (micrometres, verniers, height gauges etc.)
  • Attend and contribute to SQCDP/production meetings
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with Company H&S Procedures
  • Adherence and contribution to 5S activity
  • Continuously evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements
  • Monitoring consumables and raising internal requisitions for stock as required

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical qualification is preferred but not essential depending on experience

Experience

  • Previous experience within a CNC Machine operations role is essential
  • Awareness of ISO9001/AS9100/NADCAP and the highquality standards requirements
