We have an exciting opportunity for a Law Graduate to join us as a Legal and Compliance Assistant within our Legal and Compliance team.
Following a comprehensive training programme you will initially be a source of advice and assistance to the business on a wide range of compliance-related matters.
You will then begin to be involved in the legal aspects of the business, including reviewing, drafting and supporting the negotiation of contracts and dealing with issues arising from their operation.

The role of Legal and Compliance Assistant will be based at our Head Office, we are close to Manchester Airport with excellent public transport links and the added advantage of free car parking and electric charge points if you choose to drive to work.
Purpose
Compliance:
Following a comprehensive training program, the Legal and Compliance Assistant will initially be a source of advice and assistance to the business on a wide range of compliance related matters and will also be involved in delivering training to ensure the business continues to operate to the highest standards.
Legal:
In time, the role holder will also be required, following training and professional support, to review, drafting and supporting the negotiation of contracts and issues arising from their operation.
The role holder will also provide advice to the business on a wide range of issues, including intellectual property and data protection.
Main ResponsibilitiesSupporting the delivery of the Compliance agenda/governance within the organisation, ensuring adherence and conducting regular formal compliance reviews and/or meetings with key personnel.
Providing advice and coaching to internal customers on the ABPI Code and/or other relevant internal policies and procedures.Supporting the development and delivery of training materials to company employees on general compliance, critical policies, SOPs and the ABPI Code.
Assisting with the completion of various compliance reports.Responding to day-to-day ad hoc compliance questions.
Working closely with all departments to ensure company and departmental compliance
Establishing and maintaining meticulous record-keeping systems.
In line with annual objectives, contributing and supporting the company on its sustainability journey.
Profile
The role holder will be a graduate of law who are technically strong and commercially-minded, looking for a fast-paced environment in an in-house setting.
To succeed in this role, excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal, together with a strong desire to develop in a professional setting.
