We're currently hiring for a
part - time General Assistant, working in the fresh food department at our
Stockport depot.

This is a hands-on role where presentation standards, shelf availability and a clean and safe environment is key.

You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot and will be responsible for food safety checks to ensure full compliance and providing great customer service in everything you do.


What will you be doing as a General Assistant?

  • Stock replenishment
  • Managing stock and ensuring date checks are completed.
  • Reducing stock to clear and action out of date stock
  • Food safety checks as required.
  • Merchandising
  • General housekeeping
  • Answering customer queries

What do you need to be a General Assistant?

  • Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
  • Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
  • Able to work quickly and to deadlines
  • Confidence using handheld computerised tills and barcode scanners
  • Excellent customer service skills

What's on offer?

  • Rate of pay: £6.50 to £9.50 (age dependent) + FLT Uplift if applicable & opportunities for overtime

  • Sunday: 08:00 16:00
  • Wednesday: 15:00 19:00
  • Saturday: 08:00 16:00
  • Weekly pay
