Job description

Aldeburgh Library and Information Advisor
Suffolk Libraries is an independent and charitable society which now runs Suffolk's library service.

Our Libraries are looking for people who share our values and want to join our team.

Can deliver great customer service to people of all ages
Can demonstrate appropriate and effective communication skills with the aim of building positive and supportive relationships with our customers, team and community
Can engage confidently with young people and is enthusiastic, keen and willing to deliver the programme of activities we offer including children's activities and crafts
Has the ability to work as an effective team member
Can, with training, carry out the full range of library procedures including lending books, supporting selfservice, shelving, taking payments, stock work, finding customer requests, help create and putup displays, rearrange the library as and when required.

If you have experience in a customer facing role, enjoy helping people, have a willingness to work within a team in a busy environment, experience of working with children and an interest in books and computers, we would like to hear from you.

Please note this position has hours which are single-staffed and at times this role can be physically demanding.

This position is for an average of 14 hours per week on the following work pattern**:

Week 1
Mon: 08:50-13:05 Fri: 08:50-13:05 Sat: 09:45-15:15

The rate of pay for this position commences at £11.44 per hour.
