The Receptionist is one of the most important roles in the organisation as they will act as the first point of contact for customers and visitors on site and first impression count.
This key role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities:from the initial welcome of visitors, dealing with incoming phone calls and other general reception duties, as well as assisting with event and meeting organisation and bookings.
This is a Job share role working Monday to Friday every Morning from 8am - 1pm. working 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors and contractors as soon as they arrive on site, directing them accordingly and notifying the relevant people of their arrival
- Provide both reactive and proactive support services to Campus tenants, Contractors & visitors to site
- Managing the campus switchboard
- Assisting with meeting room and event bookings on campus
- Being aware of daily activities on campus
- Directing visitors to the appropriate room/person
- Dealing with queries, providing basic and accurate information
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable at all times
- Issuing security badges for new employees and contractors as required
- Other general administrative duties as required.
Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
- GCSE's (or equivalent) English and maths, grade C or above
- Experience and knowledge of working on a busy Reception
- Experience of using databases or a Facilities Management System.
- Experience of providing excellent customer service
- Experience of working on an established campus or complex site dealing with multiple customers/contractors desirable
- Experience in document management
- Excellent verbal communication
- Good telephone communication etiquette
- Organised and resourceful
- Customerfocused
- Active listener
- Adept at prioritising, scheduling and multitasking
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible and willing approach to work
- An appreciation and commitment to Health and Safety

Job Types:

£15,500.00 per year
