Are you an experienced Business Rates revenues officer?

Who?

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our forward thinking, friendly Revenues and Benefits department delivering our Five Star Customer Service Standards and helping our residents and ratepayers to manage their accounts.

What will you be doing?

Preparing nondomestic rate accounts where there has been a change of occupier/ownership and amending nondomestic rate liabilities in line with approved policies
Issuing nondomestic demand notices, adjustment notices, reminder notices and other documents
Reviewing and taking appropriate action including issuing inspections to ensure empty and unoccupied properties, exemptions and reliefs are correctly applied and calculated

What do you need?

A good understanding of Council Tax / Business Rates legislation and guidance
Excellent communication skills as well as being a team player
A positive and proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and continuous improvement
