Key Responsibilities:


As Junior Proofreader you will work across the business, with numerous different stakeholders ensuring that all documentation is standardised and proofread to perfection.

Working under an experienced Proofreader and Content Editor, you will learn first hand about LCG's tone and style across the product portfolio and beyond.


DUTIES

  • Proof all documents required by the business accurately, with professionalism and to deadline
  • Coordinate all assets within the department with correct versioning and maintain documentation relating to assets
  • Update all relevant project paperwork to support in the operational workflows of the department
  • Be responsible for the overall quality of assets within your workflows before distribution to internal/external colleagues or print
  • Maintain all assets with appropriate versioning, naming convention and updating project documentation
  • Be selfdriven to ensure all files, projects and requests are properly recorded, actioned and/or escalated to manager
  • Support in implementing process and management of proofing task in association with our Graphic Designer
  • Be flexible with supporting with workloads within your department area at your level or below
  • Take ownership of the occasional copywriting task
  • Ensure consistency and quality throughout all work and provide accurate feedback to colleagues where required
  • Check currency and accuracy of course content in relation to legislation, websites etc and keep accurate logs potential changes

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Have an outstanding attention to details
  • Good time management skills, able to work well under pressure, to time constraints
  • Excellent communication skills
- able to work as part of a team with the internal marketing department as well as liaise with external suppliers such as printers, photographers, other designers, web developers and our PR and marketing agency

  • A high level of skill in written English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation highly important
  • A scrupulous approach to detailed work, and excellent attention to detail
  • The motivation to work on their own, and to meet deadlines
  • Asset management skills would be advantageous to the role
