We are delighted to bring to market a few new hires into their busy procurement team reporting directly into the Purchasing/Procurement Manager.

What will I be doing?
Reporting directly into the manager, your role will involve:

  • Negotiating cost and lead times for new and existing parts
  • Assisting with the coordination of the core supplier monthly reports and quarterly reviews
  • Expediting all purchase orders to ensure all parts are received
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve any issues, assistance and guidance
  • Ensuring all purchasing paperwork is accurate and updated always
  • Requesting quotations from suppliers
  • Dealing with enquiries regarding purchase orders and associated deliveries
  • Entering and amending data and closely monitoring stock levels
  • Working with the purchasing team to review and update price lists
  • Maintaining all PO information
  • Play a pivotal part in the ongoing development of the Purchasing element of the ERP system
  • Building up key relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Managing deadlines and working under pressure
  • Review process and suggest improvements
  • Assist with the departmental continuous improvement strategy
  • Supporting and working in a team within this busy purchasing department.

  • You will have come from working in a busy purchasing or procurement role
  • Be able to organise and prioritise your workload
  • Excellent communicator who can build up relationships with both internal and external partners and communicate effectively
  • PC literate and confident in working across the MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Someone who is selfmotivated
  • Ideally you will have had exposure to ERP systems, however not essential
  • A relevant certificate/qualification in procurement or working towards would also be ideal, however not essential
Some travel maybe required on occasions across the UK and overseas.


Due to the nature of client's business, we do require to obtain security clearance in order to satisfy the MOD security requirements, this will be for applicants who are offered and accepted.
