You will join a high-profile team who has significant exposure to senior stakeholders, providing strategic support and proactive analysis.

You will tell a story and guide others to understand the bigger picture of what the data means, allowing for a proactive, forward-thinking approach.

This is a varied role where you will get exposure across multiple aspects of commercial finance - you won't be pigeonholed.

No two days will be the same. You will see the impact you make within the firm, always working with the firm's strategic vision in mind.

You will be supported to develop your career and build on your previous experiences to enhance both your technical and soft skills.

  • Work with members of the operational finance team to understand where challenges exist in terms of billing and cash collection processes and partner with stakeholders across the business to resolve these issues.

  • Provide detailed financial analysis to assess the financial contribution of fee earners and identify where support and training is needed to improve financial management.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support the assessment of performance by department or client and opportunities and risks associated with further investment.
  • Work with fee earners to build commercial awareness of client relationships to ensure proposals are profitable but competitive from a market perspective.
  • Support members of the finance department and wider business to share analysis to help improve current processes and facilitate project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of working within a finance department, ideally in a commercially minded or business partnering role.
  • Good IT skills (to include in depth experience of Excel), plus good working knowledge of Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, listen actively and engage in effective twoway communication.
Our office is based in Leeds and this role is offered on either a hybrid (min. 2 days per week in the office) or fully office-based basis.
