Exciting developments are happening at our long-established and thriving Beenham site, which is less than ten miles from the vibrant city of Reading We're now looking for a SHE Advisor to Lead the technical and quality function delivering products that meet specifications at the lowest cost and delivering robust quality control while driving product excellence, innovation, and enhancement.


  • Internally this role is referred to as a SHEQ Advisor and there will be some aspects of Quality this role would oversee over time._

What's the mission?
Reporting to our Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading SHE Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment).

This involves working closely with the site team and external support functions to enable compliance at our Beenham site with internal and external standards.

Our SHE Manager also manages one direct report and will look to mentor and coach the team to become a robust SHE presence across the site.

You will monitor compliance, policies, procedures, and management systems and provide updates at the monthly management meetings.

You'll be involved in environmental planning, management of external contractors, assisting with SHE investigations and driving improvements on-site in all areas of SHE.

Ideally, you'll need experience operating in a manufacturing environment.


What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Oversee the site SHEQ document management systems to ensure that relevant SHE documentation is updated and appropriately communicated.
  • Holding a NEBOSH qualification is essential, and having some experience in working to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Management Systems is desirable.
  • Champion the implementation of corporate and sitespecific SHE procedures.
  • Manage the site ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Management Systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, corporate, local authority or other stakeholder requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the SHE risk assessment process and assist and advise as required in the development of safe systems of work.
  • Drive site SHEQ programmes, goals and targets.
  • Coordinate site internal and external SHE Training requirements.
  • Attend regular site Safety Development Group meetings.
  • Coordinate implementing, monitoring and testing site emergency response plans and any associated training requirements.
  • Assist and advise where required with accident and incident investigation and monitor the followup of corrective and preventative actions to closure.
  • Ensure all routine SHE monitoring is completed in accordance with all relevant legislation.
  • Conduct site SHE audits and inspections and coordinate 3rd party audits. Report, monitor, and drive the followup of actions.
