Description

The Head of IT is responsible for building relationships with users of primary care and corporate IT and digital services, enabling effective service management and ensuring consistent and appropriate communication for IT service-related issues and risks.

Responsible for Managing the contract with NHIS for the provision of IT services to Primary Care and Corporate users.

Lead and support operational escalations, identify and support areas for continual service improvement assuring quality and value of IT service delivery.

Responsible for financial planning and oversight of annual capital and revenue spend.


Responsible for leading on cyber security assurance, representing the interests of primary care at regional cyber security boards; managing cyber risk within primary care through engagement and education of cyber security within primary care and corporate.

Responsible for IT leadership in corporate business continuity planning and execution.

Responsible for chairing the monthly primary care digital steering group and quarterly primary care digital forum, Represents the interests of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB at regional and National NHS England Groups Leading of the development of Strategic IT plans, providing a link from local strategic needs to the overall ICS digital strategy.

Providing IT thought leadership at all strategic groups, committees and meetings, ensuring digital and IT are fully represented and are central to strategic development within localities and places.


Analysis of highly complex data in order to define the scope of transformation programmes and priorities across both Primary Care and the ICB.
