Hours: 15 hours

We have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic to work in a dynamic environment providing high quality domestic services within the Tamarind Centre which is an 89 bedded medium secure mental health hospital in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham.

Ideally you will have experience of providing domestic and housekeeping services within an NHS environment and sound understanding of infection prevention and control, COSHH, and current BICS registration

Disclosure

Responsible for providing high standards of cleanliness to a designated area/service under the supervision of the domestic supervisor, including the safe use of mechanical and electrical equipment following appropriate training.

At SSL, we work in partnership with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), to deliver facilities management, transport and other support services to over 50 sites across the West Midlands.

Our team keeps expanding and since our establishment, in 2012, we have grown rapidly though the acquisition of new sites and services.

Key Responsibilities

To be responsible for the effective cleaning and maintenance of all hygiene Standards
Within a designated area/service and all of its facilities.
To be responsible for utilising safely mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment following appropriate training as required meeting the above.
To be responsible for the collection and safe removal of paper waste within your area/service of work.
To provide pantry/kitchen duties including clearing of the dining area and washing up as required.
To provide specialist cleaning (barrier/isolation) as required.
Responsible for the safe storage and maintenance of appropriate stock and supplies and to ensure that these are available within the designated area/service.
It is everyone's responsibility to be aware of infection control procedures and to carry out relevant training.
