We are delighted to advertise an NHS Locum Consultant Psychiatrist posts funded as part of our local transformation.


This full time (10 PA) Consultant Adult Psychiatrist post will provide clinical leadership and psychiatric expertise to our new PCN based multidisciplinary integrated community mental health team in Feltham.


We are in a unique position in which each Consultant Psychiatrist will be able to develop close links and work alongside GPs in just one PCN as part of the substantial new investment as one of the 'early implementer' sites for integrated community mental health services.

Our community mental health offer (centred around the Primary Care Networks enables comprehensive engagement across Borough Based Partnerships using a whole person, whole population health approach.

The model utilises all the community resources available including health, social care, VCSE organisations and local communities and consider resources to support wellbeing outside of mental health services alone

This is an exciting opportunity to lead an innovative new integrated community mental health service.

You will play an integral role in further developing the service, teaching and training new team members and primary care staff and providing clinical and managerial leadership to the team.

Clinical leadership:

You will have a key role in a liaison/consultation model to provide early, easy access advice to GPs and the Primary Care Networks to support care of patients in the locality.


Relationships:

you will be expected to establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues in the Primary Care Network as well as in secondary care mental health teams, IAPT, Local Authority and 3rd sector.

You will also facilitate smooth transitions into and out of the service through relationships with other relevant services.


Service development:
You will work in partnership with the Team Manager to provide leadership and development to the MINT Team.

This will include developing strategy, quality improvement, audit, and written policies and guidelines for the future delivery of MINT Services through working collaboratively with others in WLNT and the PCNs and other stakeholders.
