Job description

We are the national children's charity dedicated to using the power of play to improve the experience of illness, treatment, care and recovery for children and for their families.

Play reduces anxiety, fear and distress in hospitals and can mitigate the pain and trauma of medical procedures.

At Starlight we make sure children's right to play is provided for while in hospital as well as supporting play for children with chronic and multiple conditions outside of hospital.

We do this through three key strategic aims:

Play - We create and deliver a range of services to children in treatment and recovery so they can experience the healing power of play.

Insight - We listen and learn from children and their families; and draw on the extensive literature on play and our own research to discover where our support is most needed, and which services are most effective.

Policy - We advocate for systemic changes in healthcare policy and in institutional cultures and practices that will translate into more and better health play services.

This role will be critical in managing the flow of data between service delivery, and the Insights and Impact team, supporting to ensure we are using and generating the best data possible.

You will enjoy all aspects of working with complex datasets and will have strong quantitative data analytical skills. You will have demonstrable experience of using CRM systems, experience of ThankQ is an advantage.

You will be working as 'one team' across Starlight, actively participating in any company wide projects and assisting team and Starlight colleagues as appropriate.

And critically, you'll be committed to ongoing development, both for yourself and those around you

As one of the Starlight team, you'll have the opportunity and environment to be yourself and be your best, in a team with play at its heart.
