Job Overview
Join us in our mission as an Assistant at our Aveea Academy Sessions.

Held post-school hours from 3:00pm - 4:30pm at local primary schools, term time only, these sessions witness the eager participation of 20-30 children.

This role will be based primarily in Leicester, specifically in Oadby, Hamilton and Wigston.

Every workshop is a new adventure where we guide KS1 and KS2 students, with diverse educational needs, through the fascinating avenues of a STEM concept.

If you harbour a love for edifying young minds and cherish those moments of enlightenment on a child's face, this position is your calling.

Key Responsibilities

Assist our leaders during STEM sessions ensuring smooth flow and engagement.
Set the stage: Be handson in preparing materials and equipment before each session.
Champion health and safety guidelines tailored for schoolbased experiments.
Contribute to a vibrant, positive learning atmosphere where students can immerse and thrive.
Dive in with students, assisting them during experiments and ensuring they grasp concepts.

What We're Looking For

Experience or familiarity with interacting with children. While not mandatory, it's definitely a plus.
Students currently undertaking A-Levels or enrolled in University.
A genuine passion to positively impact young lives.
A keen interest in STEM and an eagerness to delve deeper.
While a DBS certificate isn't strictly required, possessing one can fasttrack your start with us. It's highly advantageous if you already have one and ensures you're ready to work within school environments immediately.
Access to a vehicle.
