Description

IT responsibilities:

To undertake ICT technical support within multiple Primary school environments including the following:

  • The assessment & resolution of day-to-day issues which arise with school hardware devices such as PC's, Printers, Laptops, Interactive Whiteboards, Projectors, Network Devices, and other ICT peripherals to ensure any disruption to lesson delivery is minimised.
  • The creation and removal of user accounts from the respective Servers along with resetting forgotten password settings etc.
  • Support assistance of Wireless Networking in the school environment.
  • Any bespoke software installation and respective administration.
  • Assistance with the maintenance and upkeep of the School MLE system.
  • Assistance in the classroom environment where IT hardware is being used to deliver the Curriculum.

This may include:


  • Working with the respective teacher in advance of the lesson to understand the lesson content and hardware logistics.
  • Organising for the respective hardware to be available at those classes in time for the scheduled lesson.
  • Assist in the allocation of hardware to students.
  • Assist students during the lesson with technical problems which may occur, allowing the teacher to focus on lesson delivery.
  • Ensure all devices are logged off and shut down correctly, returned to the respective charging/security cabinet and charged adequately for any future lessons.
  • The basic training and exposure to new IT hardware and software in the school with respective staff members.
