Offshore Wind Sector Deal Knowledge and Information Internship (6 months)

making access to knowledge and information easier? Would you like to support the offshore wind
industry meet net zero targets? If so, this opportunity could be for you.

We are looking for someone who is keen to explore challenges, identify solutions and help
implement activities to resolve challenges together with internal and external stakeholders.
The role will require a willingness to develop an understanding of knowledge and information
sharing tools and a high-level understanding of the offshore wind environmental and consenting
landscape and the key stakeholders.

The joint Government and industry Offshore Wind Sector Deal sets out commitments to deliver the
2030 and net zero offshore wind targets. The Sector Deal delivery workstreams include resolving
skills, supply chain and grid issues. This role sits within the Pathways to Growth workstream
which focuses on consenting and environmental issues.

The Pathways to Growth (P2G) workstream and the team is supported by the P2G Coordination Group
- a collaborative group with representation from Government, Statutory Nature Conservation
Bodies (SNCBs), regulatory bodies, industry trade bodies and developers. The P2G Coordination
Group bring their knowledge of work planned and underway to ensure the most critical issues are
identified as "barriers" and together we manage a series of roadmaps that identify the key

Growth

The role

This role will have responsibility for designing and managing the development of a set of tools
to support the sharing of knowledge and information within the P2G Team, the P2G Coordination
Group and the offshore wind industry.

This is an interim role reporting to the P2G Coordination Group Manager, Rachael Mills.

Duties and responsibilities


The responsible person will need to:
Work with the P2G Team and potentially with the P2G Coordination Group to understand
requirements for delivering better stakeholder and knowledge management.

Research and utilise online packages such as Miro or Kumo to identify solutions for sharing
knowledge and information more effectively with consenting and environmental stakeholders.

Identify and implement agreed solutions and prepare user guidance and templates to ensure
the solutions continue to be used in a consistent way and remain updated.

Provide support to the P2G Team to identify when and where tools and systems may offer a
way of improving ways of working.

Resources and accountability

The role requires a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to think clearly and
strategically and who enjoys working with virtual, and matrixed teams.

Location

The location can be flexible between office and remote working. The office location is
RenewableUK's Central London office with travel within the UK if required.
