Job Title:
Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Location:
Stockport, Primary School

Start Date:
February 2024

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Salary:
£ £15.00 per hour Ltd (Depending on Experience)

Role Overview:

As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.

You will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide targeted assistance, create a positive learning environment, and help students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide oneonone and small group support to Year 6 students.
Assist with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organization.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and track student progress and behaviour.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective teaching and learning.
Engage with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A relevant qualification in education or teaching support is an advantage.
