Job description

MENTAL HEALTH LEAD (SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT FUNDED)
35 HOURS PER WEEK - CROSS CAMPUS
FIXED TERM TO END OF JUNE 2024

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and creative individual to lead, coordinate and contribute to the development of a high-quality programme, aimed at assisting Glasgow Clyde College students and staff to tackle stigma and discrimination around mental health and wellbeing.

The post-holder will agree the vision and direction of the Colleges Mental Health and Wellbeing provision and lead and supervise teams of Counsellors, Safeguarders and Mental Health First Aiders.

Experience and understanding of supporting people with mental health issues
A good understanding of the key issues relating to mental health
The ability to deliver mental health training to staff and students
The ability to develop mental health support resources
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to manage and prioritise a complex workload and display creative problem solving skills
