Mechanical biased Maintenance Engineer

This is an opportunity to work for a very well established organisation, that can offer varied work, and excellent working hours.

Hours: 7am - 3pm Monday to Thursday, 7am - 1pm Friday (37 hours per week) - Overtime available

Responsibilities:


  • Carry out fault finding on various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance on various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers with regards to fault finding and repairs
  • Working closely with the Facilities Manager to prioritise repairs to reduce the
impact on Production

  • Must be flexible to work overtime when required which can include weekends and bank
holidays.

  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Other adhoc duties as and when required

Education Requirements/Person Specification:

  • Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
  • Trained in fault finding techniques, root cause analysis
  • Experience of maintenance within an industrial environment
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Flexible approach to constantly changing priorities.
  • Good communicator on all levels, able to work with people at all levels of the
business.

  • Able to work at height.
  • NVQ Level 3 in engineering maintenance/production or equivalent qualification.
Salary £30k + overtime and 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
