Job description


Our Client supports the UK military air capability by playing a key part in the seamless progression of pilots through flying training.


Under a landmark partnering programme with the Ministry of Defence, we supply and maintain three fleets of aircraft to deliver Elementary and Multi-Engine Flying Training within the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS).

Through technical advancement and commercial innovation, we deliver safe, airworthy aircraft to match the training needs of the next generation on the frontline


Are you interested in continuing your career in aviation with a forward thinking, innovative and rewarding organisation? We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual with an AEA (Aircrew Equipment Assemblies) and SE (Survival Equipment) background.


You will ensure the delivery of the contracted service to the customer, ensuring stocks of serviceable AEA and SE is made available to the aircrew population based at RAF Cranwell, RAF Barkston Heath & RAF Valley.

To be considered for this position, it is essential for you to have:

  • RAF Survival Equipment Course or civilian equivalent
  • Experience of AEA and SE Maintenance
  • Experience of RAF Flying Operations
  • Driving licence
  • Computer literate with MS Office skills
  • Good working knowledge of AEA Equipment, technical publications and Procedures;
  • Technically competent with good analytical/problem solving skills
  • Able to work as part of a small team
  • Supports a culture of high performance, promoting best practises at all times
  • Civilian or Military experience within Trade
  • Must be able to obtain an Airfield Driving Permit
  • Detailed understanding of all Civil and Military Airworthiness Safety Regulations
  • Articulate in written and oral communication, communicates well in order to deliver the task objectives
  • Ability to ensure timely action to achieve desired output
  • Hold the Q-SEAC or AvMedSE qualification and have experience of sizing and fitting AEA
This is a full-time permanent position based on a 40-hour working week


If you're successful, you will be required to undertake MOD Security clearance which includes 3 years' reference checks, and you'll need to verify your right to work in the UK.
