This new full-time post is available from 1st June 2023 on a fixed-term basis for 20 months.


The post


We are seeking an enthusiastic researcher with a background in human genetics, bioinformatics, or human data science to join a world-leading team of researchers to study the genetic basis of diabetes.


About you


The successful applicant will possess a MSc/PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in bioinformatics, human genetics, data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related field.

You should have a successful track record in academic research that includes the statistical analysis and interpretation of complex or large datasets, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Experience analysing exome sequence, SNP chip or clinical data will be desirable, but not essential.

A good knowledge of Python, R or similar language and the ability to write and develop scripts as well as modify and implement open source or published code is desirable.
