Maintenance Person Part / Full Time

We are looking for a part time maintenance person to join our team working in rented residential and commercial properties in the local area.

(East Sussex)

The position would suit someone who is perhaps semi-retired or looking for flexible work around other commitments as the working hours can be adapted to suit you.

We are looking for a friendly enthusiastic and experienced person for whom no job is too small, you should complete jobs promptly and leave work areas tidy and clean.

Duties will include all aspects of general property maintenance, examples include:

• Woodwork jobs, for example easing a sticking door or window_
• Painting and decorating_
• Changing and fitting new door or window locks_
• Putting up a notice board, shelving or an outside sign_
• Simple plumbing jobs, e.g. mending a dripping tap or re silicone sealing a shower tray_
• Small wall or ceiling repair work, e.g. repairing a hole in a wall_
• Replacing light bulbs on indoor and outdoor lights_
• Minor roof repair work, for example replacing a broken tile or repairing gutters_
• Clearing blocked drains or slow running waste pipes_
• Simple building work, for example repairing a garden wall or resetting a paving slab_
• General gardening and caretaking_
• Meeting other contractors at properties to facilitate access or other appointments_
• Taking meter readings and completing property inspections_

We are initially offering a temporary 6 month contract with between 3 and 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).

You must have a full UK Driving Licence.

This position requires an enhanced DRB check.

Hourly rate of £14/15 with standard holiday allowances
