Description

Successful applicants will get opportunities to develop their knowledge of psychological assessment, trauma informed approaches, bespoke treatment interventions and systemic work, face to face groupwork and some elements of individual work, and to assist with the provision of a comprehensive psychological service for complex adult men with significant mental health needs.

You would also have the opportunity to work within the Occupational Therapy and Social Work departments, as part of the wider work of Therapy Services, and Kemple View as a whole.

One of the posts will primarily focus on working with men with sexually problematic behaviours, including offending. This is an exciting and unique post, and as such specific training and specialist supervision will be provided.

This post requires applicants to work positively as part of a team, and to engage positively in all aspects of supervision and reflective practice.

A high standard of communication skills, including written skills are essential. An enthusiastic, warm and empathic interpersonal style is also essential. A Masters degree in Psychology would be an advantage, as would experience of working in a related setting(s).

These posts would also suit anyone wishing to gain relevant experience in order to pursue a career as a Psychologist, or associated Therapist.
