1:1 Learning Support Assistant

For this 1:1 Learning Support Assistant support role you will be mainly classroom based where you will be supporting a young boy who has been through trauma early on in his life, which has influenced his Mental Health and being able to social properly withinsociety.

You will be required to support him on an educational and emotional basis.

Throughout the week you will be supporting him during different lessons and activities, as he will be working at a slight lower level than his age.

Due to his needs their will,be times where he doesn't know how to express himself and this will be shown through his behaviour, when this happens you will be required to step in and support him emotionally and calm him down, so he is able to continue with his day.

Therefore, the ideal1:1 Learning Support Assistant will need to have had previous experience in a school or a similar setting and be able to offer emotional support.

SEMH School

This SEMH School is located in the South London borough of Wandsworth and caters for male students aged between 5-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

They currently have 250 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in 2018, they werereviewed as 'Good' in all areas.
