Production Supervisor - Merston
Natures Way Foods began in 1994, when the Langmead brothers set up a small, bagged salad operation. Their big idea was to combine the freshest lettuce with the latest food manufacturing technology. Since then, we've grown by expanding our customer base andmoving into new fresh, convenient categories and product areas.

It is an exciting time to join Natures Way Foods as we are expanding our production lines and there is genuine opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the organisation.

We have an opportunity to hire 1 Production Supervisor at our Merston Site.

We operate a rotational shift pattern covering days and nights from 7 to 7, which means you will work a total of 14 days over a 28 day period.

You would be working as follows;
Week - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week - Wednesday & Thursday

Responsibilities

To supervise, train and support Production Operatives and Agency colleagues ensuring all have an effective induction and fully understands and adheres to Food Safety/H&S and factory procedures and that our customer and' Secondnature' quality standards are followed.

To ensure daily plan is met in full.
Induction and associated training of operatives
Day to day management of absence and performance
Ensure full Food Safety and H&S understanding and compliance
Accurately complete all relevant Agency paperwork
Accurate and timely completion of all relevant training matrices
Communicate adherence and variations to plan with Department Manager
Action escalation process as required
Accountable for the capability and availability of their team. - Measured by Training assessments and availability to work
Accountable for the delivery of effective induction - measured by turnover
Accountable for the level of employee engagement of their team - measured by turnover, absence and Engagement Surveys
Achievement of relevant daily plan

Skills & Experience
Demonstrable people skills
Good communication skills
Good level of English language, written and verbal
Additional eastern European language essential
High level of resilience and reliability
