An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Health Care Assistant to work 22.5 hours per week as part of the Rapid Response Community Team.


The community nursing teams form an integral part of the East Staffs Community Services and are key to the exciting and dynamic developments underway to strengthen PCN in delivering timely, high intensity acute and routine patient centred clinical interventions to support people in their own homes and prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital.

As a community nursing team our service covers 24 hours/7 days a week.

As a member of the team you would be expected to work part time over a shift system which includes early, late and night shifts across 7 days including weekends and bank holidays.

As a Health Care Assistant/ Support Worker you will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care / services to patients and service users.

Health Care Assistant, Social Care Workers and other Healthcare Support Workers employed by the Trust are required to follow the guidance set out in Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants/ Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care of a high standard, and to challenge others who are not.

You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards.


This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions.

A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential.
